	Model Warship Combat Chapter of Houston Houston, TX	The Gulf Coast Squadron, also known as the Model Warship Combat Club of Houston, was founded in 1999 for the purpose of promoting the hobby of model warship combat. Model warships, built most commonly to 1/144 or 1/96 scale, are real working model boats, using radio control, with working BB cannons and thin balsa sides. Battles range from one-on-one contests between warships, to more complex convoy simulations involving transports and aircraft carriers.
